Here we go, the world premier of the new Volkswagen Tiguan. The Tiguan is the most successful model for both the Volkswagen brand and group, more than 910,000 were produced in 2019. For the new Tiguan, we can anticipate a comprehensive update including new interior and exterior styling, and of course updated driver technology and comfort features.

If we look closely at the exterior we can see that the front end has been completely redesigned. The LED headlights, set between a new grille design, is wider and it creates a link between the Tiguan and VW’s larger SUV models such as the Touareg and Atlas. Theres an updated hands-free easy open/close for the power lift gate which is available on midrange models and below that an eye-catching new bumper.

Every Tiguan will be equipped with the Volkswagen Digital Cockpit, which allows the driver to configure their instrument display. An 8-inch display comes standard and a 10.25-in display will be available on top trim models. No Apple Carplay or Android Auto, but the Tiguan will feature the latest generation modular infotainment system or MIB3 as they call it. It offers natural voice control, multi-phone pairing that can easily switch between devices and wireless App-Connect.

The Tiguan will be powered by a four-cylinder TSI engine that will produce 184 horsepower and 221 lb-ft of torque. All models will be equipped with a standard eight-speed automatic transmission and a start/stop system to help improve fuel efficiency.
